@danjdavies Shame that if someone cared enough about their placement that they we unable to express it directly/indirectly. And if there wasn’t someone who cared, a shame they didn’t manage you enjoy your sense of fun The real question is: Did you move the penguins... or did they move you?

@adamauckland I’ve had it as a secondary platform for ages... and as other platforms came and went, it stayed still, and by virtue of its lack of development it has remain reliable long term, and therefore valuable.

.. if our family were the only ones to ever use Storyus, it would be a shame, but even with the considerable time, focus and energy already invested, the return we are enjoying as a family already far far outweighs it.

Defaulting to 'collective-only' writing and content consumption also frees us all up to writing just for us, and then taking the secondary steps to choose to publish some aspects of the story to include larger circles of family and friends.

@sallylait I suppose it's a role where I've seen such a lot of variance that I'm not sure there is really a 'typical' ... .. perhaps in part due to the low barrier to entry to start learning : laptop (RPi even), text editor, browser, and tonnes of online tuts

@sallylait cont. < 1 month : ~25 year ( I know some who first started mid 90's) remote / all over the world, in massive corporate offices and everywhere in between Wrangling of semantic markup, CSS, javascript to produce browser based UX's.

@sallylait Not sure my answers will be useful, as have experienced great variance in this role, but happy to try to help: f/e dev , frontend developer 10 - 55 (if professional then probably 15 - 55) ... no reason to stop at 55, but that's the oldest I've worked with
