@Pebbles_Ang We have no clear view north and so haven’t been able to spot it - so last night drive around for a while until we found a quiet, dark, country lane with good visibility to the horizon NW. Great fun - I think we’ll try again tonight :)

@petsco We were wondering about places to put in our SUP/canoe where there is plenty of distancing space - were you able to get on to the river ok at Beale Park, Or somewhere nearby?

@petsco we don’t have a clear view north, so my son and I drove around looking for a good observation spot - in the end we found an unlit country road near North Moreton with good view of the horizon N/NW - that shot was at about midnight. His keen eyes def helped spot it initially!

I found it pretty hard to see, but my 13 y/o son was great at spotting it while we drove around to find a north facing outlook.

So we parked in the farthest end of the car park to have lunch, and even then 4 separate groups of people walked right up within feet of where we were eating, despite loads of space 5+ metres along. Bizarre afternoon, and wonder if this is typical around the country.

@hellogeri @VirtualAstro That’s awesome it was such a perfect clear bight last night. I didn’t manage to see neowise though. As you know I saw Saturn for the first time 3 weeks ago - such an emotional experience for us too.

@piccalilli_ fwiw - my son responded positively to the reading times, as it gave him confidence that each was a manageable chunk of time and focus I’m sure that the cadence is familiar or him now, so removing won’t be a problem
